2. What is a Certified Diamond?
A certified Diamond
is nothing more than a third party evaluation of a diamond and has
no interest in buying or selling the gemstone. Their job as a gem
lab is to impartially grade the diamond, nothing else. Just because
a diamond is certified does not mean it's a fine quality diamond.
Also, buyer beware - not all third party gem labs that certify
grade the same. East Queen only sells diamonds certified by GIA
and EGL. East Queen does not sell certified diamonds
by IGI.

3. I've been to Oakbrook Center many times - Why didn't I see your
store?
We have been doing business in Oakbrook
Center, IL. since 1981. We are the last and only independent jeweler
to hold this honor and distinction. We are exclusively located in
the Concourse shops in Professional Building. Word of mouth referrals
from customer satisfaction contribute to the secret of our continued
growing success. Like the mysterious River Nile, our visitors keep
coming back. To our past guests, Thank You, we appreciate your patronage.
As a friendly reminder, please feel free to come in once every 6 months
for a free cleaning and free jewelry inspection.

4. Why can't I go to a Diamond District to find a great deal?
YYou can, but think about this when you
go visit. They know more about their business than you do. They all
share one thing in common. They all have the lowest price. And they
all stay in business.
Every diamond merchant survives on a niche in order to stay in business.
The lowest price may not, and certainly in most cases, necessarily
mean same quality product and craftsmanship. Contrary to bigger is
better value - the value of a perceived deal is diminished due to
a lack of quality driven by price point. So fierce the competition,
it may influence some jewelers to resort to some unscrupulous business
practices. Recently, a topic on CBS News Channel 2 Chicago investigative
consumer reports exposed a jeweler's row jewelry store selling a falsely
represented diamond engagement ring to an undercover customer.
Bottom line: If you're going to spend a lot of money for someone special.
Should you not deserve the best value for your jewelry purchase? Save
yourself parking, traffic, and the hustle. We bring the best of the
best to you in the suburbs without the hassle. What do we mean by
the Best? Simply by the selection and the great deals for high quality
gems and unique custom designed fine jewelry. Back

5. I'm confused, why is there so much conflicting information about
diamond buying on the Internet?
The web is a prime source for a lot of information
as well as disinformation. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion
and the end result is a lot of confusion at your expense. Nobody becomes
a qualified gemologist overnight - it takes many years of experience
working with gems and jewelry and gem education thru GIA (Gemological
Institute of America), the foremost authority in gemology.

6. Should I buy a diamond off the Internet?
Would you buy a house before you stepped
into it? Before you make a decision: you should ask yourself these
few questions: Does this company have a physical location I can actually
stop in and visit? How many years has this company been in business?
Does this company have a return policy? Do I know anyone else who
has purchased from this company before? Are they reputable?
During the past few years, I've appraised diamonds and diamond jewelry
from clients disclosing that they purchased over the net after the
appraisal was finished. It was the bulk of most of my appraisals.
I have experienced mixed reviews that some people received good value
and others did not. I've seen diamonds that fell short from remotely
verifying what was stated on the certificate report. In one particular
case, it didn't take long to figure out that the stone wasn't even
a real diamond!! Needless to say, I didn't charge for that appraisal.

7. I already have a local jeweler?
Congratulations - As long as you are completely satisfied with
the product and personal service - continue business as usual. A recent
jewelry trade marketing survey reports that independent jewelers offer
the best customer value regarding better quality, personal service,
and price. If your jeweler does not merchandise or provide a particular
product or service, please give us a try. Otherwise, please continue
to support your local independent jeweler.

A word from our vice-president, Jeremy Wang Dear
Friends, In
order to cover huge operational expenses, big businesses miss the
mark on quality product. The only thing we are missing is a middleman.
We are confident you won't mind.
My family started this business many years ago on the premise that
people deserve better quality jewelry and they should not have to
pay more for it unless they want to somewhere else. Now, I may not
have an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. But I do know every
business carries an operational expense just like me. The difference
is I don't have to sacrifice quality and be forced to sell a cheaper
and inferior product. I also don't have to do it in volume to meet
the demand of my stockholders expectations. I also believe in not
paying someone else to do it if I can do it myself. And I also believe
that a referral from a satisfied client is more convincing than an
expensive over-hyped marketing campaign. East Queen will continue
to operate this way as long as it stands as an independent jeweler.
This has been our commitment from our first day of inception and we
will continue on well into the future. The secret to our well-being
is simple. Our clients keep coming back.
Thank You,
Best Regards.
Jeremy "J" Wang.
